New SPANS Directors Elected

The Sheep Producers Association of Nova Scotia held its annual general meeting on Saturday January 19, 2013 at the Onslow-Belmont Fire Hall in Lower Onslow. More than 25 sheep producers braved the cold weather to attend the meeting.  The morning session included updates on current industry research as well as a presentation by Agriculture Minister John MacDonell.  Members elected the new Board of Directors for SPANS, under the new association bylaws.  Jaclyn Biggs, Beth Densmore and Fred Hamilton were each elected to three year terms, while Jerrold Graham and Andrew Hebda were elected for two years and Art Perry and Cathy Vallis will join for one year.  The Executive will be elected at the Board meeting in February.

SPANS would like to thank the hard work and dedication of retiring board members Jeff Grant, Kurt Wenzell, Sarah Nettleton and Ron Muise.
