2013 NSPE Market Lamb Competition Results

SPANS is proud to sponsor the trophies for the Market Lamb Competition at the NSPE held in Truro on Sat. Aug. 24^th, 2013.   Our congratulations to the winners in each of the following categories:

Class 1: Heavy – 100 lbs and over
1^st place  – Beverly Palmeter of Marshcrest Farm, Grand Pre, NS with a lamb weighing in at 122  lbs
2^nd place – Brianna Hiltz of the Annapolis  Valley, NS with a lamb weighing in at 110 lbs
3^rd place – Ryk ter Beek of Prince Edward Island with a lamb weighing in at 102 lbs
4^th place – Breckrow Farms, Bruce Sinclair, Goshen, NS with a lamb weighing in at 129 lbs

Class 2:- Medium – 75lbs – 99 lbs
1^st place – Ryk ter Beek of Prince Edward Island with a lamb weighing in at 98 lbs
2^nd place – Donald Cluney of Marshcrest Farm, Grand Pre, NS with a lamb weighing in at 82  lbs
3^rd place – Breckrow Farms, Bruce Sinclair, Goshen, NS with a lamb weighing in at 88 lbs
4^th place – Fabian Hamilton, Lower Onslow, NS with a lamb weighing in at 81 lbs
5^th place – Ruth Mathewson, Upper Brookside, NS with a lamb weighing in at 81 lbs

Class 3:-  Light – 74lbs and under
1^st place – Ryk ter Beek of Prince Edward Island with a lamb weighing in at 72 lbs
2^nd place – Eric Sullivan, Newport, NS with a lamb weighing in at 71 lbs
3^rd place – Breckrow Farms, Bruce Sinclair, Goshen, NS with a lamb weighing in at 59 lbs
4^th place – Ruth Mathewson , Upper Brookside, NS with a lamb weighing in at 61 lbs

Champion Market Lamb at the NSPE went to Beverly Palmeter of Marshcrest Farm, Grand Pre, NS
Reserve Champion Market Lamb at the NSPE went to Brianna Hiltz of the Annapolis Valley.
