🧶 Calling all spinners 🧶 The Centre is seeking the services of skilled wool spinners to create yarn for a Cape Breton inspired wool sweater project. This hand knit Cape Breton Sweater will be a textured style and reflect the history and culture of Cape Breton Island. This project is inspired by the two sweater projects developed in the late 1970s and early 80s; the Cape Breton Development Corporation (DEVCO) commissioned three sweaters based on Mi’kmaq, Gaelic, and Acadien cultures; and the four county sweater designs commissioned by Cape Breton Woolen Mills (Irish Cove). The deadline for applications is July 25, 2025. For all the details, visit: capebretoncraft.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Call-for-Spinners.pdf ... See MoreSee Less
