Breckrow Farm is a 7th generation dairy and sheep farm located in Goshen owned and operated by Bruce and Dianne Sinclair. Along with their four children they raise purebred Suffolks and North Country Cheviots.
Bruce and Dianne have been avid promoters of the sheep industry in Nova Scotia and across the country. Across Canada Breckrow is a prefix you will find in numerous flocks. By participating in a number of AI and other genetic improvement practices, Breckrow Farm have been instrumental in improving the Suffolk and North Country breeds in Atlantic Canada.
Recently Bruce and Dianne have installed windmills and barn curtains in an effort to reduce their farm’s carbon footprint. They are also stewards of the land and have implemented several sustainable environmental practices including water conservation and watershed protection.
Bruce and Dianne are also involved at the provincial and national level with the Purebred Sheep Breeders Association of Nova Scotia, where Dianne is the Treasurer and Bruce represents his fellow Bluenosers on the Canadian Sheep Breeders Association.
Bruce and Dianne have also been dedicated volunteers of the Nova Scotia 4H program for more than 25 years, Dianne is the Eastern Region Director on the council while Bruce chairs the market steer and lamb committee. In the past, they have both held executive positions with the Antigonish-Guysborough Federation of Agriculture.
